Scott Mathewson
ButtonScott brings professional leadership and management expertise, along with a natural creativity and passion to his work.
Growing up on the Oregon coast, Scott began in the carpentry trade at a young age working for his father, a local general contractor specializing in traditional craftsman carpentry. Scott graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering Management and moved to Southern California to start his professional career in the heavy-civil construction engineering industry. With now over 20 years of experience in construction, and the past 12 years working at the highest levels of the Southern California heavy-civil construction market, Scott has developed award-winning partnerships with his clients at all levels. Scott is responsible for over $800M in construction project revenue for clients including Caltrans, LA Metro, Metropolitan Water District, and Los Angeles World Airports.
While developing a well-rounded career in professional construction management, Scott has always maintained a creative passion for craftsman carpentry and woodworking and eventually teamed up with his wife, Alyson, to start their family-run business to serve their local community. Scott brings a unique set of skills and expertise to serve his clients' project aspirations and is committed to making Maplewood your go-to contractor of choice for providing superior craftsman quality and affordable service.

Alyson is a Southern California native, growing up in the communities of the San Gabriel Valley. With her Bachelor of Arts, Masters and Educational Specialist Degrees in School Psychology, she serves her community as a School Psychologist in our local school district.
As they've grown their small family with two young children, Alyson has always been an integral partner in the progression of Scott's continued carpentry work, providing style insight, vision and design creativity as well as market research and branding.
Alyson brings a unique set of skills in managing people and organizational relationships making her a key partner in developing Maplewood's repeat client base and brand in the local community.
